My wife Margaret and I were born in
Timaru in the South Island of New Zealand and my lifetime of fishing
originated on the streams, rivers and lakes in the area.
My occupation as an engineer also
allowed me to experience fishing for other species in various locations
around the world.
It was always our intention to
establish a "Trout Fishing" charter business and when we moved
to the Rotorua area 21 years ago and experienced the fishing in streams
and lakes of this area it came closer to reality.
Eleven years ago we set up our
operation based at Hamurana on the western shore of Lake Rotorua.
At the time we purchased a Marco 550
boat which was purpose built to our alteration.
A lot of our charter work is boat
fishing and we can offer trolling, harling, jigging and Flyfishing from
this craft. All our clients are very impressed with the comfort and
set-up of this craft and it is licensed to operate on all the lakes of
Rotorua, Lake Taupo, Lake Waikeremona.
Our Isuzu Trooper 4 W.D. is also
fully equipped for transporting fly fishing anglers to destinations
through our region.
